This convertible is not only spacious, but also drop-dead gorgeous.

If there is one brand that is good at ‘making a dead bird happy’, it is Cadillac. This brand has presented the most amazing concept cars over the years. Think for example of the Elmiraj, a beautiful coupe. Or the Sixteen, a limousine with a V16. Unfortunately, all these cars did not go into production.

Today Cadillac is once again conjuring up a very cool concept car: the Cadillac Sollei. As you can already deduce from the name, this is a convertible. Convertibles have a hard time these days, so it’s good to see a new convertible again. Even if it’s just a concept.

The Cadillac Sollei is an old-fashioned big sloop, just like in the heyday of Cadillac. We also see two spacious seats in the back, which is quite unique for a convertible these days.

Not only the size, but also the color scheme harks back to times gone by. This specific color – Manila Cream – was used by Cadillac in the 1950s on the Series 62, among others. The car also features a matching interior, in which the necessary wood has also been incorporated. All in all, it is a very summery whole.

Will the Cadillac Sollei also go into production? Don’t count on it. This car can probably also be added to the list of stunningly beautiful Cadillac concept cars that never went into production.

I’m actually getting a bit of a Bentley vibe from this. Is there a reason the front isn’t on it?
