Skoda Superb Sleeper Edition attracts with 477 horses

477 horsepower in an extremely discreet combi suit – there you have the new Skoda Superb Sleeper Edition.

Performance versions of standard hatchbacks abound, but the question is whether any are as discreet as the recently unveiled Skoda Superb Sleeper Edition.

The model is a collaboration between Skoda and the performance company RE Performance. Basically, it’s a regular Superb with a 280-horsepower engine and four-wheel drive.

But with a new turbo unit, revised fuel system and a lot of other things, the power is increased to 477 horsepower and the torque to 661 Nm. It has also required upgraded suspension, better brakes and lowered chassis.

By comparison, the Audi RS 4 Avant has “only” 450 horsepower.

Otherwise, however, the car looks exactly like a normal Superb. Green paint and cognac-colored leather upholstery are standard, as are Matrix LED headlights and park assist. There are no performance badges, extra large exhaust pipes or extremely large rims.

The car is not to be sold but only used for PR purposes by Skoda in Great Britain. It is hand built in a single copy.
