Stable result for the Volkswagen Group

The Volkswagen group has presented a stable result for the group as a whole in the first half of this year.

Seat delivered a record result for the first half of this year, and now the Volkswagen Group as a whole is also showing a good result.

The group had 158.8 billion euros in sales revenue in the first half of this year, an increase of 1.5 percent compared to the same period last year. However, the operating profit was 10.1 billion, 11 percent lower compared to the first half of last year, while the operating margin was 6.3 percent.

So far this year, the Volkswagen Group has sold 4.3 million vehicles, which is slightly lower than the first half of last year, while orders for vehicles in Western Europe increased slightly in the first six months of this year compared to 2023.

The German car group expects that sales revenue in 2024 will be better than last year by up to 5 percent.
