This Huracan Sterrato Overshoots Its Target

The whole point of the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato is that you don’t have to be careful, right Vorsteiner?

Off-roading with a sports car or supercar. Suddenly this is a thing. Porsche created the 911 Dakar, while Lamborghini came up with the very special Huracán Sterrato. Cars with more ground clearance and parts that can get dirty, or a scratch.

The latter has been undone by Vorsteiner in the case of the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato. All the ‘plastic’ parts on this supercar have been replaced by the tuner with carbon fiber. So you really have to be very careful in the mud when playing with this device. Which raises the question: What is the point of this thing then?

The front and rear wheel arches are now carbon fiber. Vorsteiner has also replaced the housing of the front lights with carbon on the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato. You can complete the look by shopping for a set of rims from the American tuner.

What does that cost? Vorsteiner would like to get 13,000 dollars for the carbon wheel arches. The housing of the lighting also costs 2,495 dollars. The price tag for the rims varies per model. It starts at 12,380 dollars and goes up to almost 20 grand. Where the tuner sometimes still comes up with a complete body kit, spoiler or diffuser, they have been a little less exuberant with the Sterrato. Minus the rims, it is three parts. That is not much.

It also just feels a bit strange, the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato by Vorsteiner. This car has to get dirty, this car does not have to shine with splendor. You do not want all those mirrors and beads from the tuner on your Sterrato. Who is going to drive through the mud with this if there is a chance that those expensive carbon parts will get damaged? Vorsteiner usually has nice goodies for Lamborghini, but you better skip the adjustments for the Sterrato.
