Tesla and Brink Motorsport secure the team championship in the first all-electric season of the STCC. This despite one competition weekend remaining.
Here it was outclassing when Brink Motorsport took on Ring Knutstorp in the STCC. The competition weekend consisted of four sub-competitions and Brink Motorsport claimed victory in all of them.
– It has been a rollercoaster for us with team gold, pole, crashes and victories, says Tobias Brink, according to STCC’s press release.
– The crash in the first race felt like a loss for the whole team. But after the last race and a new 1-2-3, it feels much nicer with clean racing right through. Now we reload for an insanely exciting final.
Although the constructors’ championship is now settled, there is still a driver’s championship to fight for.
Before the final weekend’s two races, four drivers have a chance at the title – Tobias Brink, Mikael Karlsson, Jimmy Eriksson and Robert Dahlgren.
The former trio are all teammates in the Tesla team Brink Motorsport, while Robert Dahlgren drives Cupra Born for Cupra Sweden-PWR.
The final takes place on the weekend of September 20-21, at Mantorp Park.
