The new BMW M4 CS will be released domestically. According to dealers, the new M4 CS will be released in extremely limited quantities of about 20 units. The new M4 CS is based on a partial change to the M4, and features a powertrain with an increased maximum output of 550 horsepower and a lighter curb weight than the M4 Competition. The price has not been set yet.
BMW Korea will introduce a partial change of the M4 in August. To commemorate the launch of the partial change of the M4, the new M4 CS will be released in limited quantities. The new M4 CS is positioned between the new M4 Competition and the limited edition CSL. The new M4 CS combines a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder gasoline turbo S58 engine with an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission.
The new M4 CS has a maximum output of 550 horsepower and a maximum torque of 66.2 kgm. The maximum output is 20 horsepower higher than the new M4 Competition. The new M4 CS accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 302 km/h. The electronic all-wheel drive system M xDrive cuts off the front wheel drive depending on the driving situation.
The new M4 CS is equipped with exclusive features such as optimized engine mounts, a titanium variable sports exhaust system, tuned adaptive M suspension and electronic M Servotronic steering, auxiliary springs and anti-roll bars. The wheel camber settings have also been changed. The exterior of the new M4 CS reflects CSL design elements.
However, the yellow daytime running lights that are a feature of the new M4 CS will likely be deactivated while driving in accordance with domestic regulations. The new M4 CS has a 20kg reduced curb weight compared to the M4 Competition through lightweight construction such as a carbon roof, carbon splitter in the front bumper, carbon diffuser and spoiler in the rear, and carbon side mirrors.
