Dodge makes a Hyundai – that’s what the electric muscle car sounds like

When the news that the Dodge Charger will be fully electric came out, many people were shocked. No pun intended. It also gets simulated engine sounds – listen here!

The new and all-electric Dodge Charger was already presented in March and boasts impressive numbers.

The Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack, for example, gets 670 hp, does 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and completes the “quarter-mile” sprint in 11.5 seconds.

But there is one more piece of news that Dodge has just unveiled. And that’s how the car’s simulated engine sound sounds.

The system is called Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust and delivers the “significant rumble” of a muscle car from prehistoric times. In the style of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, which simulates the sound of an internal combustion engine, also with gas emissions and the feeling of shifting.

“The world’s first Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust brings the raw and iconic Dodge rumble to the next-generation all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona,” said Matt McAlear, CEO of Dodge, according to a press release.

“We know our Dodge enthusiasts want to experience the feeling of driving a Dodge muscle car, and the Charger’s new Fratzonic system delivers the adrenaline-pumping sensation they expect.

The simulated Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust sound system responds to the driver’s input and “organically” follows the driving.

– And gives the driver direct contact with his new Charger, continues Matt McAlear.

– When you hear and feel it, you’ll know it’s a Dodge Charger Daytona in short.

Those familiar with Dodge history will also know that the Fratzonic name draws inspiration from the legendary Fratzog logo. A mix of old and new when it is now used on electric cars from the brand.

Pricing for the Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack starts at $73,190 while the Dodge Charger Daytona R/T starts at $59,595.

The new Dodge Charger made its official debut at the Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge event in early August.
