Genesis GV70 partially modified interior revealed, wide display installed

Genesis GV70 partial changes were detected. The GV70 partially modified test car posted by kindelauto on Instagram and YouTube shows the exterior, including headlamps with MLA technology, new wheels and mufflers, and parts of the interior equipped with a wide display and a new steering wheel. It will be released in the second quarter of this year.

GV70 is a Genesis compact SUV. Since its launch in the second half of 2020, the GV70 has consistently maintained annual sales of 29,000 to 32,000 units until last year. The GV70 shows similar sales volume globally as in Korea. Representative GV70 competing models include Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3, and Audi Q5.

This is the first time that the partially modified interior of the GV70 has been revealed. The GV70’s partially modified interior features an OLED display that combines a digital instrument panel and display, a new steering wheel, and a digital room mirror. The center fascia layout, including the air vents with emphasized curves, is similar to the existing GV70.

Partial changes to the GV70 include a touch-type air conditioner with improved usability, a dial transmission with enhanced details, and an infotainment controller. It is expected to support Genesis’ latest specifications such as the next-generation infotainment system and Lane Keeping Assist 2. The exterior has little change from the existing, highly complete design.

MLA technology is reflected in the front headlamp of the new GV70. The turn signals and daytime running lights are the same as before. The rear is equipped with a newly designed muffler, turn signals, and integrated rear lamps. The powertrain operates with 2.2 diesel and 2.5/3.5 turbo gasoline. Electric vehicles will be released in the third quarter.
