Lamborghini Huracan successor revealed, 920 horsepower hybrid

Lamborghini unveiled the Temerario on the 17th (local time). The Temerario is the successor to the Lamborghini Huracan and is equipped with a plug-in hybrid consisting of a V8 engine and three electric motors, generating a total output of 920 horsepower. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds. Domestic release has not been decided yet.

The Temerario is Lamborghini’s entry-level sports car that replaces the Huracan. The Temerario is equipped with a plug-in hybrid consisting of a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, three electric motors (two in the front and one in the rear), an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, and a 3.8kWh battery. The combined output is 920 horsepower.

The Temerario’s 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine is unusual for a turbo engine in that it supports a red zone of up to 10,000 rpm. It also has a unique engine sound and some vibrations transmitted from the engine to the body and seats are intentionally designed to convey a sporty feeling to the driver. Temerario is an all-wheel drive system.

The Temerario accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds. Top speed is 343 km/h. The Temerario’s curb weight is 1690 kg, which is 150 kg heavier than the existing Huracan. As a result, the braking distance from 100 to 0 km/h has increased slightly from 31.9 m to 32 m. The EV driving range is about 3.5 km.

The Temerario offers a recharge driving mode to recharge the battery, which reduces the maximum output to 725 horsepower. The combined output of the three electric motors is 190 horsepower. The Temerario is based on an aluminum space frame structure, and is 38 mm longer and has a wheelbase 121 mm shorter than the Huracán.

The exterior of the Temerario reflects the brand’s latest design language, inspired by the Lamborghini Revuelto. The interior features a digital instrument panel, a vertical touch display, and a new steering wheel. It offers a drift mode and a triple-camera Lamborghini Vision unit that can record driving videos.
