A Defender 6×6? Hell yeah!

We have seen the new Land Rover Defender in all shapes and sizes. If Land Rover does not build it themselves, another party will. For example, there is already a Defender Cabrio and a Defender pick-up. However, there was still one version missing: a Defender 6×6!

A six-wheeled pick-up is of course madness, but Mercedes proved with the G63 6×6 that there is a market for it. There is an American company called Apocalypse that has made it their core business to build six-wheeled pick-ups.

Now they’ve done their thing with the Defender. You might be wondering where the letters D, E and F went, but they’ve renamed this car the ‘World Ender’. That’s why it says Ender on the back.

The bullbar might be a bit too much, but otherwise it has become a very brutal device. And the funny thing is that the bodywork has not even been shortened to make it a pick-up. The loading bed is simply extra length.

To keep things in proportion, the Defender has not only been made longer, but also wider. And of course, it sits a lot higher on its legs, with 38-inch off-road tires that make the 20-inch rims look small.

The extra axle is actually driven, so this is a real 6×6 and not a 6×4. Under the hood lies the only right engine for such a monster, a V8. The exhaust path is one of the few things that has become shorter, because this Defender has real sidepipes.

For now there is only one Defender 6×6, but if you also need an extra set of wheels under your Defender, you know where to go.

A nice successor to the Sbarro Windhawk. For the youngsters among us: just google it.
