AMG new GLC domestically certified, 2.0 4-cylinder turbo engine applied

The domestic introduction of the new Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC is imminent. According to the Ministry of Environment, Mercedes-Benz Korea recently completed all certifications for the new AMG GLC 43 4MATIC and has begun preparations for full-scale launch. The new AMG GLC 43 4MATIC is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine that produces 421 horsepower.

The new AMG GLC 43 4MATIC is expected to be released as early as the first half of this year. The new global AMG GLC also has the 63 SE Performance, which has been converted to a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), but its domestic introduction has not been determined. However, as the 63 has already been sold, the release of the GLC 63 SE Performance is also likely.

AMG’s new GLC 43 4MATIC is equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline turbo engine in place of the existing V6 engine. The combination of a 48V mild hybrid system and a 9-speed automatic transmission produces a maximum output of 421 horsepower and a maximum torque of 51kgm. The combined fuel efficiency based on 21-inch wheels is 8.5 km/l (7.4 in the city, 10.5 at high speeds).

The new AMG GLC 43 4MATIC takes 4.9 seconds to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h. Supports electric boost during acceleration. The new AMG GLC 43 4MATIC is equipped with a rear-wheel steering system as standard. The new AMG GLC 43 4MATIC all-wheel drive system has front/rear torque distribution fixed at 31:69.

The exterior of the new AMG GLC 43 4MATIC features the AMG signature Panamericana grille, jet wing design bumper, digital lamps, and oval quad mufflers. High-performance brakes with 4p brake calipers are placed on the front wheels. The interior is equipped with sports seats and a performance steering wheel.
