The most expensive car of 2023 has only now been spotted on Dutch roads for the first time.
Every year around and New Year’s Eve we look at what the most expensive cars were that were registered. Last year at number one was a new Bugatti Chiron for the Netherlands. Unfortunately we did not know what this car looked like, because the car had not been spotted once. But now the car finally shows its face for the first time.
You would think that you would want to show off your car a bit when you buy a Bugatti, but now it has taken 14 months. Spotter @yoeri_fakkeldij had the scoop on the highway near Amersfoort.
Thanks to the RDW we knew that the car was grey, which didn’t sound very promising. However, we were pleasantly surprised, because this is a beautifully executed example. The owner chose silver grey with a caramel brown interior, a classic combination that looks very good on the Chiron.
The current Dutch owner may not have assembled it himself, because it is an imported car. Although that does not always say everything. For example, Perridon’s Chiron Super Sport is also an import, because he first drove around in Dubai with it.
In total, the Netherlands now has eight Bugatti Chirons. With a catalogue price of €3,058,397, this example is still one of the ‘cheaper’ ones, because prices run up to over €4 million for the most expensive.
